Our history with berries goes back more than three decades, when we began working with growers all over the world: from Spain to Peru and across Portugal, Morocco, Poland, Holland, Germany, Romania, South Africa, Chile, Argentina, Mexico and Guatemala. Today we work hand in hand with more than 50 farmers, sharing a close, friendly relationship. We know very well each one of our growers and we work together with the aim of offering you the best quality fruit, according to the season and production area.
Delicate by nature, our berries are hand-picked the traditional way, one at a time by specialised growers who know and care about fruit. It’s right there in the field where the selection process happens, following the strictest quality criteria.
Once gathered and inspected, the berries are cooled to the optimum conservation temperature and packaged in different formats, as per each customer’s needs. This maintaining of the cold chain from harvest to point of sale preserves the organoleptic quality of the fruit.
We strictly control all stages of the production process, which guarantees both the quality and the food safety of the fruit we offer.
To maintain these high-quality standards, Global Berry holds the IFS international certificate, and we ensure that our growers all hold the internationally recognised GFSI quality certification, which ensures they comply with Global G.A.P., BRC or IFS standards.
We are also committed to social rights, only working with suppliers who certify compliance with good social and environmental practices, and work to obtain new certifications that bring even more value to our customers.
